Just days after it was announced that the BIG 12 turned down the $200 Million Dollars in Sponsorship offer to join the Conference, rumors started swirling around that former DB Tahj Ra-el had leaked the Tigers playbook after being dismissed from the team earlier on in the year. Now, messages between Tahj and UTSA Quarterback Owen Mccown have been acquired by TigersSportsReport showing texts between the two where it shows Tahj sending Mccown the playbook while also targeting Safety Kourtlan Marsh as the weak link in the system with his injury history.

The Roadrunners would toss for 300+ yards and 4 Touchdowns while running for another 107 and crossing the plain once for another score. Everyone was shocked when a sub .500 UTSA squad came in and put up 44 on a very good and ranked 25 Memphis squad, however, it would seem now that we all have the answer as to how UTSA seemed so prepared for it all, and quite simply they knew what was coming no matter the call or audible.
A member of the 2024 Memphis Tigers squad even noted “ We’re on the field, and their offense has a check for every single one of our defenses’ checks.”
Ra-el has since declined to comment on the situation after TigersSportsReport attempted to reach out to him to comment on the claims.
The Situation has been growing as Thursday marked the very beginning of the AAC media day and has been one of the top headlines coming out of it.
One of the rising questions was the future for Ra-el as he transferred to Purdue in the offseason and in a comment on Thursday, the Boilermakers coaching staff stated “Our coaching staff sees the scenario as being mischaracterized and does not have any concerns moving forward.”
Which seems to warrant that the DB will start the 2025 Collegiate season without facing any Disciplinary actions from his new School.
The only question now is if the Roadrunners Slinger Mccown or Tahj will be disciplined by the NCAA if they decide to launch an investigation into the situation. However, if they do get involved it’s hard to imagine Ra-el ever setting foot on a collegiate football field ever again.
